This Privacy Policy describes how Funtiviti LLC (“we,” “us”) handles information in connection with our apps and this website. We make small outdoor and recreation apps—starting with While We’re Here. We aim for plain language.
Short summary
- We do not sell your personal information.
- Many app features keep settings and lists on your device.
- Location (when an app asks for it) is typically used only while you are actively using a guiding or mapping feature—not for forever tracking after you stop.
- This website does not run analytics or ad trackers.
- Contact us anytime: funtiviti@gmail.com.
Who this covers
This policy covers Funtiviti LLC as a company and our consumer apps, including While We’re Here. Individual apps may publish a more specific policy (for example, detailing on-device storage or third-party map/Wikipedia requests). If an app policy and this page differ, the app-specific policy controls for that app.
Information we may use
Information you send us
If you email us or use our contact form, we receive whatever you include (name, email, message). We use that only to respond and improve our products.
App permissions and on-device data
Depending on the app, we may request permissions such as location (while in use) so features can work. Preferences, starred places, and similar data often stay on your device unless you clear app data or uninstall. We do not require an account for our first apps unless we say otherwise in a future update.
Internet content your device may request
Apps may fetch public information (for example map tiles, Wikipedia extracts, or Wikidata labels) from your device so features can show or speak place information. Those providers have their own policies for server logs.
How we use information
- To operate and improve the features you turn on.
- To reply when you contact us.
- To meet legal obligations if they apply.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles for sale.
Children
Our apps are general-audience tools. They are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Some features (including in While We’re Here) may display or read aloud public information from sources like Wikipedia. We do not write that encyclopedia content, and we have no intention of presenting material meant to be offensive. Because Wikipedia is created and edited by the public, wording can vary. If you encounter something you find inappropriate, you can visit that entry on Wikipedia and use Wikipedia’s edit or reporting tools to suggest a change. You can also email us at funtiviti@gmail.com if you want to tell us about a place description that felt wrong in the app.
Your choices
- Deny or revoke permissions in system settings.
- Stop guiding / mapping features in-app when available.
- Clear app storage or uninstall.
- Email us to ask questions about privacy.
